Home to Hillside Montessori and mindwerx4kids Day School, our welcoming facility is also used by a wide range of community organizations, including Girl Guides, Alcoholics Anonymous, award-winning choirs, orchestras, summer camps, and many others.
Conveniently located in the heart of central Etobicoke, Humber Valley United Church is a well-regarded performance venue and community gathering place. We offer a variety of flexible rental spaces for meetings, rehearsals, auditions, workshops, performances, celebrations, and special events.
Our team also has extensive experience supporting film and television productions, providing versatile spaces and professional coordination for production crews.

Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is renowned for its exceptional acoustics, making it a favourite venue among choirs, musicians, and performers. With generous seating capacity, a spacious balcony, and full accessibility, it provides an outstanding setting for concerts, piano recitals, lectures, and presentations. Renters have access to our organ and piano, offering added flexibility for musical performances.
A popular venue for annual spring and holiday concerts, the Sanctuary welcomes a wide range of community groups throughout the year. Its breathtaking stained-glass windows, created by celebrated Canadian artist Eric Wesselow, add warmth, beauty, and elegance to every occasion, creating a memorable backdrop for weddings, memorial services, concerts, and special events.
Arthur Steed Hall
Arthur Steed Hall is a versatile and welcoming event space that can be configured to suit a wide range of gatherings.
For banquets, receptions, and celebrations, the hall accommodates up to 180 guests with round tables seating up to eight people each. With fewer tables, the space easily transforms into a lively venue for dancing, DJs, and social events.
For presentations, performances, and community programs, the hall can be arranged in theatre style, seating approximately 200 guests. The room features a stage, large projection screen and piano, making it an ideal setting for meetings, concerts, lectures, workshops, and special occasions.
Hearth Room
The Hearth Room offers a flexible and inviting setting for both professional and social gatherings.
Ideal for board meetings, workshops, presentations, and small events, the room can be arranged in a variety of configurations, including boardroom and theatre-style seating.
For a more relaxed atmosphere, guests can enjoy a comfortable lounge area featuring sofas and a fireplace—perfect for informal meetings, discussions, and community gatherings.
The room is equipped with a lectern, sound system, ceiling-mounted projector, and large drop-down screen, providing everything needed for effective presentations and events. An upright piano is also available for musical programs and rehearsals.
Kitchen
Our fully equipped kitchen provides convenient access from both Arthur Steed Fellowship Hall and the Hearth Room, making it an ideal addition to events, receptions, community gatherings, and catered functions.
The kitchen features three stoves with ovens, a large-capacity refrigerator, and two 110-cup coffee makers to support events of all sizes. For an additional fee, renters may also use our dishes, cutlery, cups, saucers, mugs, and commercial dishwasher, offering a complete and convenient food service solution for your event.
