55+ Programs at HVUC


At HVUC we offer a vibrant program for older adults (in the 55+ age-range). We provide a mix of over 30 virtual programs, and outdoor activities that are free and open to all.

Zooming to New Horizons Slideshow.

For over 35 years, our signature program for older adults, “Daytimers”, has been providing seniors in the community a monthly opportunity to gather for a delicious lunch and an interesting and entertaining speaker presentation. We have expanded Daytimers to a virtual format in response to COVID-19.

Connected Our programs build on connections within the community of Central Etobicoke and nurture new connections in the wider community, to strengthen our sense of belonging.

Caring Our programs promote caring for each other, being inclusive, affirming to all. We find new ways to make our programs open, accessible and inviting to all.

Creative Our programs explore new formats, approaches and styles, to meet unique needs and interests of current and new participants. We encourage a range of creative programming in Health and Wellness, Social and Lifelong Learning and Arts and Culture.

All our Programs are provided Free of charge on Zoom and in-person. The building is handicap accessible. To use the lift enter via the main doors on Anglesey Blvd.
